Darkhorse Competitor to the iPad — RIM’s “Playbook”

Ok, I’ve been asking all the experts I know — when do we see the first competitor to the iPad? Will it be on Android? On Chrome (the Google OS, which includes the browser)? Someone recently said that HP will be putting out a tablet on Palm’s WebOS, which would probably be pretty slick. Funny that the Tablet world will for a while at least, have more consumers using a wider variety of operating systems than we ever had in the PC biz.

Of course what is interesting to me is, what are the Tablet in Action experiences that people will have with each new entry.

Anyway, here’s the darkhorse candidate from RIM (Research in Motion), the Blackberry company. I have to say it is really impressive, at least in terms of “completeness of vision.” (my favorite criteria from Gartner’s Magic Quadrant) RIM’s”Playbook” Tablet is really nice looking and will appeal to the corporate market plus plus. Note the emphasis on “Flash Friendly”,”Enterprise Ready”, etc.

RIM knows its market well.  Enjoy the video.
